TMZ reports the rapper died of a suspected overdose.

Mac Miller has died at the age of 26.

TMZ reports that the rapper was found in his home in San Fernando Valley of an apparent overdose Friday (September 7).

Miller, who had been open about his struggles with addiction – which he frequently addressed in his music, had only recently released his fifth studio album Swimming and was preparing to embark on a brand new tour in October.

Miller, born Malcolm James McCormick, grew up in Pittsburgh and started rapping at the age of 14.

Tributes for Miller are flooding in through social media. Chance The Rapper called him the sweetest guy I ever knew," and "Post Malone said “I wouldn’t be where I was today without you.”
