Jordan, a 17 year old from St. Louis, Missouri, and her identical twin Jessica, live with their grandparents, who adopted them at age 9. Jordan and her boyfriend, Brian, are expecting a baby boy. The twins had previously left high school for homeschool in order to pursue modeling careers, but that comes to a halt when Jordan finds out about her pregnancy.
16 and Pregnant” follows teenagers for 5-7 months as they navigate the unfamiliar territory and uncertainty of being pregnant. Viewers will watch as ten new mothers-to-be tackle all new issues including hiding the pregnancy from friends and family, watching one twin sibling get to live a normal life while the other is pregnant, a struggle with anorexia, moving out for the first time, abandonment by family and three surprise engagements. Cameras continue to follow the teens for a significant amount of time after they gave birth to document how they cope with taking care of their infants.
